About the Event
Annually YGNZ organises a Youth Soaring Development Camp at Omarama… as it’s the best place for gliding and soaring for all experience levels. The camp uses gliders and towplanes from clubs, private owners and commercial operators and has highly experienced volunteer instructors, tow pilots and ground support staff to make the camp possible, affordable and FUN. Costs are kept to an absolute minimum so its arguably the best value for money and time a pilot will ever get for their training and soaring.
The camp is open to any member of Youth Glide New Zealand. We cater for pre-solo through to advanced soaring experience with an aim to focus on the latter. Numbers attending are limited.
